| Picked up Solid State Society, on BR, mostly in hopes of encouraging companies to rectify the really shitty state of anime on BR in North America right now. I remember seeing Jin-Roh and Steamboy on the shelves of an anime store in Taipei on BR. Jin-Roh's English BR run was apparently about 20 minutes long, because the copies are ridiculously expensive, and Steamboy's was nonexistent, as far as I can tell--which sucks because the English dub is great (Patrick Stewart, need I say more) and the DVD quality is crap for what is a very pretty film. Solid State Society is actually quite good on BR, but I'm saddened to see they didn't includ the OST that came with the steelbook edition of the DVD, which is typically great from Yoko Kanno. |

| Finished watching Dog Days. Yeah, kind of disappointing. Main character was so whitebread and boring, princess was so pink and useless (why the fuck would you go up there solo goddamn), other princess is kind of cool but also really dumb, and tsundere guard captain is so goddamn tsundere and I am just not in the mood for that. The best characters were the two demon hunters (they were also the most developed olol). Kind of a copout ending, also. I mean I know it sets up for a sequel where all three of them go back (Nanami because she was apparently already more awesome than the MC) and now the two nation were wardec'd by like 5 other nations and also fight demons or some shit, but meh.
