Without getting into the details and/or spoilers, considering how much we all love Kenshin and Kaoru, what did you think or feel about the OVA ending?

Frankly, I hated it and I refuse to believe its existence; especially since Watsuki-san had nothing to do with the storyline. Plus, he wanted a happy ending for Kenshin, so that is why I only believe in the manga ending.

How about you?

I simply refuse to acknowledge the OVA (except for Kenji scenes: HOT!). There's no way in Hell Kenshin and Kaoru would act as they did in the OVA, bringing needless misery on themselves and their child.

I like Reflection better than any of the other Kenshin tales. More than the manga, more than the anime, and more than the other OVA. It is a very touching story about someone who can't forgive himself for the things he has done in the past and the woman who loves so desperately that she is willing to give up almost all of her happiness just so he may have some relieve. I feel that these characters felt more realistic and stayed in character even though there was a lot of development through the movie. Kenshin bares all knowledge of all the horrors of the world and tries to do whatever he can to relieve the pain of others in attempted repentance for all the sacred things that he had slaughtered. All the families, happiness, and smiles that he wiped off the face of the earth.

I know most people don't like it cause they feel Kenshin deserves a happier life afterward. I feel the death of Shinta was an amazing peaceful way for him to go. He left the world in the arms of the only person who ever could relieve him of the pains of his constant attempts to relieve others of pain.

If someone isn't into tragic or sappy love stories I don't think they will like Reflection much. I was very happy with the story and have been able to watch it many times.
