I just hope an experienced studio will take on the project. the priority should be retaining the amazing art style of the manga.

I had no idea that it was being made an anime. That is awesome news. If they keep the art style, it could be awesome. I am really looking forward to this.

Does anyone have an air date? ANN has nothing, and I can't see to find anything on it.

It better not turn out like Berserk...or Claymore...or Hellsing Tv...or any other disappointing conversion I can't recall.

it most likely wouldn't. the Blade of the Immortal manga is in its final arc and should be approaching a conclusion. that wasn't the case for the 3 titles you mentioned. Berserk was nowhere near an ending when the anime adaptation aired. the same goes for Claymore. as for Hellsing, at least they are producing the OVAs and getting the treatment that it deserved.

Is the Berserk Manga even remotely near the ending?

My issue is with Samura's artwork. It's violent and brilliant, but I wonder how successfully they'll be able to showcase it in a televised production.

Not even close. because 1) there's too many untied strings left in the plot and 2) in 2007, only 13 chapters were released. at that pace, it'll be a while before we see a conclusion.

I agree with you regarding the art style. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be in the hands of a great and respected studio.

The anime will air this summer, and the animation was done by Bee Train. I saw a trailer on crunchyroll.com. It didn't seem horrible, but I guess I'll truly see when it airs.

Not much at all.I'm a .hack// fan, BeeTrain has done all the anime adaptations of .hack// so I'm pretty familiar with them, some of the adaptations were pretty bad(well, mainly //roots) the others you'd have to be a fan to appreciate.

But everything else BeeTrain has worked on has been lackluster, and tbh Koichi Mashimo is pretty much the last person I'd have guessed would be directing BoTI.

Oh well.
