| So.. This is how it is.. Confusing parts.. Pretty interesting, I don't see why this anime is bad. The story is rather inconsistent with the visual novel but it is common practice for animation studios to modify stories of mangas and visual novels when making an anime. Shingetsutan Tsukihime is no exception. |

| Its rare in mainstream anime to see a scene that leaves no doubt that two people made love. Generally producers kind leave it somewhat vague for the most part. Well the plot has become much clearer now, but somehow the whole thing still is missing something. Tension perhaps. |

| Now that is good. I am convinced that the love is real, unlike a certain anime which never even had the couple kiss in 37 episodes worth of animation. (Not saying I'm hatin it, it is just...you know.) I really liked Arcueid being with Shiki IMO, they had a rough and eventful start, and that desire to pursue him made her subconsciously becomes a fun and enjoyable time for her, despite being 'meaningless'; she found something which she has never known: happiness. Besides the romance and the sex, I would like to praise the episode's execution, it was superbly done. Everything was downright concise and articulate, answers given clear regarding the 'killer' Shiki's identity and his origins. Although my guess was slightly wrong, thinking that it was the other Shiki which killed Arcueid, I was correct to think of two physically separate Shikis and the fact that Roa is involved with the Tohno in some way or another. I guess the subsequent episode would be the finale, although it would be expected and likely uneventful. Nevertheless, this anime really kept its fundamentals and plot scenarios extremely coherent, and I am considering giving it a high score for it. 5/5 |
