| Was gonna settle a 7/10 for this manga, but I rated it 8/10 after all that emotional rollercoaster in the end. I love the fact that the Kasuga visited Riyon's family...also he did manage to save Kubo and Riyon from disappearing, convinced Daiki to turn into a new leaf, so that was a nice conclusion overall. I cried in some of the chapters though, I was a blubbering mess after it. Riyon, she's so amazing. She was just the perfect guardian spirit for Kasuga, and I was relieved she's OK and going to be reincarnated soon. |

| Agreed here, the manga itself was not too deep, the morale of the story and the direction it was given was a bit shallow for a seinen and it wasn't too strong in the politics genre either, but it was very well executed. It might be a bit hard to understand for people who don't know much about Japan politics, as they have an unique mindset which explains a few things some might find weird as far as political actions go. But overall it was an interesting take on afterlife theme as well as preaching into making life better for the generations to come. Enjoyed it from start to end, 8/10. |
