| White Album's cryogenic freeze can kill people in a lot of different ways and all of them are horrifying. They might've gotten him off the car but he's on his way to get back in there with his super suit. |

| I haven't commented on it much directly, however one aspect of Vento Aureo I love is the style and strength of its reveals. Be it Formaggio being shot by Aerosmith only to zoom out and reveal that he grew in size to reduce the damage. Or Fugo witnessing Illuso walking towards him in the mirror and slowly revealing the fact that nobody can see any sign of him. Or Purple Haze appearing behind Giorno like a monster. Another moment was how Pesci learned that Prosci had 'died' after slowly realizing the difference in where the hook should have landed, only to see youthful people leaving the rooms. Why do I say all of this now? Because I have to say it somewhere and this time I am totally blown away. A set piece such as driving down a highway with the gas and wheel frozen, a finger and face stuck on the window, an enemy on top of the car. There's a sense of eminent danger and gritty body horror, a sense of 'realism' to the icy combat, something I always love. All with this great sense of style. Further, a duo fighting in such a creative situation it's already fun by itself. But what makes it super fun is the blending of Gold Experience and Sex Pistols. One issue I have with Gold Experience is that it seems like it can do almost anything and it is only after the fact that I get an explanation to understand how it works. That isn't very fun to me, I like to immediately understand the solution in front of me yet fail to get to it myself, resulting in a moment of awe. I got that here, realizing that Gold Experience was able to alter the bullets that Mista fired. A brilliant solution to a frightening and memorable situation. And it doesn't look like it's over yet. Reminding me of the Dio car chase, or Highway Star, I always love car chase, stand combat. It makes for some of the most exciting arcs. |
