| Well, here they were. He pulled into the familiar parking lot beside the building and Anya went to unbuckle herself. In the time it too her to do that and turn to open the door he had already gotten out and opened it for her. "Well, aren't you a proper little gentleman. You must be making some lucky woman very happy." She said as she stepped out of the car. "Leaving already? At least let me offer you a coffee or something for giving me a ride." |

| Hearing his response Anya flashed him a crooked grin. "Then come right in." She said before stuffing her hands into her coat pockets and turning to walk into the building. She let herself in and waited for him as well before letting the doors swing shut. She was only on the third floor but , being in no mood for stairs when she could help it, Anya opted for the elevator. It came and once the two were on the doors shut and carried them up. "Ah, here we are. Home sweet home." There was a new energy in her voice and her step now when she spotted the heavy, worn-out wood of her apartment door. She retrieved the key from her pocket and with a flick of her wrist opened the door for the first time in what felt to her like ages. Just after walking in she could spot a thin layer of dust on just about everything, but that much a as to be expected, really. She lived alone and her hospitalized mother wouldn't have been able to try and keep up with any of the cleaning. "Make yourself at home. I'll get a pot brewing." |

| Anya's voice came from the kitchen, right alongside the sound of opening doors and clinking dishes. "Nope." It had been a while. Two months, to be exact. If Thompson would allow it she'd probably just spend the next couple of days getting this place back into order. |

| After setting the pot of coffee to brew and giving the kitchen a quick sweep to make it appear a little less dingy, Anya made her way back out to the apartment's main living room. She sat herself down on the worn out loveseat across from him. Sinking down into the cushion with a loud sigh, it looked like all of her worries had just been washed away like loose sand on a beach. "There we go. Much better." she said mostly to herself. "It'll be ready shortly. Sorry for the mess, though. I've not been home in a while." |

| Something in there seemed to Pique Anya's interest and she leaned her elbows forward onto her knees. "Oh... fresh recruit? I was wondering why I didn't recognize your face." She knew everyone in her department, and most everyone throughout the rest of the agency. So when Thompson had told her 'her ride was there' she had figured it would be someone she knew. Finding an unknown face had been a little surprising for her. |

| "No need to be so formal. We're both off the clock right now." Anya said with a grin as she leaned back into the couch. "Besides, I've only been in it for a few years. All you need is a good head on your shoulders and some good eyes and you're all set. If you've got that badge there then I assume you've got both." |

| Anya leaned over to one side, resting her elbow against the couch arm, and chuckled. "Flattery won't get you very far." she said. He seemed curious, as if it weren't obvious, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Curiousity was good in this line of work, and getting to know the people you worked with was a definite must. Getting along with them... well... that was another story. It was definitely helpful, but it wasn't always possible. "As you can tell, I don't much enjoy cleaning." she joked as with a broad sweep of her arm she gestured around the spacious apartment. "The rest you'll figure out eventually. As for your second question, that would be a no. So, how about yourself?" The words were hardly out of her mouth when she heard the coffee pot cry out from the kitchen to signal it was finished. "Hold that thought. I'll be right back." she said as she got up from the couch and walked back into the kitchen. |

| Anya could hear him in the other room as she poured the two cups of coffee, both black. "I should hope you do. If you didn't like solving things then I'd wonder how you got here." A lighthearted laugh could be heard followed shortly by the sound of a fridge being opened and subsequently closed. Solving issues, both simple and complex, was the main part of their job. It was expected that you'd be good at it (or get better with it over time) and that you should at least have some sort of want driving you to solve them. No ambition meant there was no place for you. "So, how do you like your coffee?" |

| With a shrug of her shoulders at his response Anya picked up the two mugs of coffee and walked back out into the main room. She handed him his and then sat back down on the couch. "Hmmm... probably in the next few days. As early as tomorrow if Thompson has any say in it." She would enjoy a couple days of rest at home, yes, but she was still willing to work if it was asked of her. She took a quick sip from her mug and the brown liquid burned her tongue. No surprises there. Still, she swallowed it with a smile on her face. (If Dio and Golden don't get moving on that case, 'Imma go snipe it! XD ) |

| Anya waved off the apology without much care. She had grown used to Thompson breathing down her neck back when she was still green. And it had stopped surprising her soon after to see him treating everyone with just as much intensity. "Don't worry about it. But I'll give you a good piece of advice for dealing with Thompson. He's used to me and my antics, but so long as you get the work done, done right and done quick, you'll be solid for years to come." |

| "Leaving already?" Anya asked in an almost playful tone. With her usual crooked grin she set down her mug still half full and got up from her seat. "At least let me see you to the door. I'd be a terrible host otherwise. Not that I'm a very good one to begin with, but hey." |
