This was a pretty badass episode, the horsefight had a lot oif nice ideas in it. Sadly, the meh production quality of Yes 5 did harm my enjoyment somewhat.

I guess the episode's pre-OP scene is a confirmation without a shadow of doubt that Nozomi likes Coco. I mean, I know, it's been pretty much teased in previous episodes but this is pretty much the nail in the coffin. And of course Karen knows horseback riding.

THAT SCENE WHERE THE LIPSTICK IMPRINT ON KAWARINO'S MASK MOVES AS HE TALKS. LMAO.

Cure Knight Karen is great!

Hadenya is pretty powerful. More so than the other villains so far, not counting the masked forms of Girinma and Arachnea. I think she might have the capabilities to defeat the Cures if only she doesn't retreat. Mostly talking about her debut episode but she ain't no pushover in this one, neither.

I know I said episode 33 was my favorite, but this one came really close as well. Karen might be my favorite character in Yes 5 at this point? It's either between her or Urara, but she had amazing moments this episode. I love her friendship with Milk, and I think Milk has grown so much as a character simply by being around Karen.

Also that sword? My jaw dropped. The pacing did wonders to build tension, and I love that it ended with a one on one showdown between Karen and Hadenya.

And Karen steals the spotlight this episode. I know she wanted to protect Milk but she really soloed both the villain and the Kowaina on her own. The other Cures barely did anything so I'd say the fight was slightly mehh. Speaking of the villain, how can they ever hope to get the Dream Collet if they retreat every single time their Kowainas are defeated? It's not like she's weak or anything, we know she's strong seeing how she fought Cure Dream with no problems. Also I still dislike Milk though, she has yet to redeem herself.
