Alright, i know most people can't do vk in school which is a total shame :\ in my school, my principle actually LOVES the way i dress. He thinks it's really cool, and he even made a meeting with all of the teachers saying that the things i wear is okay, and before they tell me to take anything off they have to have his consent first^^ it's pretty damn awesome.
My homeroom teacher, Mr. Gray lets us pick a band we like and we get to play music from them and he said he appreciates the cultural music i bring in even though everyone yells at me for it. Like Gackt, and Dir en grey, the GazettE, Alice Nine, etc... all that yummy j-rock stuff he appreciates^___^
All the preps who used to be offended by my sense of style are now, little by little, saying that it would be weird if i dressed normally because the VK style suits me, they say. So a few of the preps like me, more and more are beginning to become acquaintances with me^___^
How about you? Are you allowed to wear Visual Kei at school? If not, how do you go by with a 'subtle visual kei look'? Does everyone make fun of you? How do you react to negative comments?
Describe as much or as little as you'd like^^

I'm always dressing in a slightly VK/Harajuku style since I don't have much money (and I'm afraid of the sewing machine going through my fingers because of some strange dream).
The people at school call me emo, goth, punk, scene, or a mix though. XD Doesn't really matter. My good friends like how I dress and others have (possibly) gotten used to it.
But I haven't really gotten a chance to go all out in school lately because of morning rehearsals for the upcoming drama competition. I always have to rush to get ready because i don't want to wake up extra early. >.<

XD I remember my first improv. I was so...crazy (for lack of a better word).

But it gets annoying when half of the school knows me as "that emo chick" or "that gothic chick." I got bullied a lot last year because of it.
They also saw the inside of my locker that had a collage of a visual kei bands and questioned if the guys in Gazette, Alice Nine, etc. were girls. I'm all like, "How the hell do they look like girls?" and they just gave me a WTF look. DX

OMG! Me and my homeroom went through this whole scene about my music and j-rock men apparently looking like women. I had a million pictures of Jrockers in my assignment book and it was my turn to pick a band to listen to during homeroom, so i picked dir en grey. and everyones like "OMG its a bunch of angry japs! i cant see japanese people screaming like that!" And im like "WTF!?" I showed them the pictures and asked if they look like the scream and they're like "The sound like guys." And im like "THEY ARE GUYS!" And they're like "NO THEY"RE NOT! THOSE ARE GIRLS THOSE CANNOT BE GUYS!!!" And we got into this whole debate where id show a picture and show them how they look like guys, etc etc. and they got so confused -.- I just don't get how they look like girls. lmao. that was long o-o

They just have really feminine faces with make up on. :3
Anyways, if you pull up their shirt or pants, you can definitely tell if it's a guy or a girl. Lmao.
There was this one time Alex wore a girl's jacket...shirt thing since he was cold and Ali thought he was a girl from behind, but I was at an angle, so I'm like "But you could definitely tell that's a guy. The chest is all flat...and it's Alex." So everyone gave me a "Where the hell are you looking?" look.
...this doesn't even involve VK in school...and I was feeling pretty normal that day.

Oopsi.

That reminds me of the Emo Kid Song. My friend and I sing that everyday...i guess it's no wonder people call me emo.

BUT I'M VISUAL KEI, sometimes Oshare (but I heard that's a branch of VK) and Harajuku.

BUNNY SUIT~
Haha. I'm looking for cat ears. >.> It's so hard for me to find them in person and not online because my mom would kill me if I asked for her credit card.
But at the moment, I'm having money issues so...yeah. Everything I want to and need to buy is going on hold... Including my donuts. Dx

we have a school uniform, started this year D: i find it quite pointless tbh. my school is always like, "your'e all unique" and stuffs, yet they make us wear a school uniform which in my opinion kinda goes agasint the point...anyways, because we have a school unifrom, the only thing i can improvise is my hair, make-up, accesories etc. it's kinda sad D: also, literally all of my school are like "preps" (we call them chavs), and theres only like the few people that are kinda goth, emo kind of sterotyped (omg i made that sound sooooo confusing XD). i get called goth, grebb, emo etc, it realllly annoys me actually D:
