Is Tokyo ESP a sequell to some series?

Ok, so I watched the first episode to Tokyo ESP, but I am totally lost in what is happening. I watched the entire first episode because I thought that there would be a flashback to how it all started...

So now I'm starting to think that Tokyo ESP is a season two for... something?

Is it? And if it is what anime should I begin with.

And is it related to Ga Rei: Zero?

The flashback starts with episode 2 so just continue.

And same author as Ga Rei Zero.

I probably regret this post by now.

I don't know much about it, but people seem to think that the appearance of characters from Ga Rei Zero is more of a cameo than it taking place in the same universe.

There is no relation between Ga-Rei Zero and Tokyo ESP besides them having the same author. The anime staff just thought it would be a good idea to start in the middle of the manga and make half of the first episode filler scenes about characters from Ga-Rei Zero.
The real Tokyo ESP begins with episode 2.

With how unpopular Tokyo ESP was, I doubt it would get a second season.
And no, it really has nothing to do with Ga-Rei Zero apart from being made by the same person.

so im 14 now 15 in feb and i was around 5-6 when all of this is written and ESP has still not gotten a sequel and how are you all now
