Well, that was an alright episode I guess but quite slow

Oh Jamie. I hope she can doesn't shed tears like this as it's almost misery as it is. This war is still ongoing and this episode takes it even further with the buildup. I expect some battlefield warfare soon.

Honestly, I've been watching this show until now because I only care for Samonji....I'm curious about his fate later.

We'll see Ricthofen later I guess?

Seems like a calm before the storm kind of episode. I'm waiting to see the opposition's version of the Perphevollens fight back.

Did Tokimune and Jamie just make some progress there?

The whole episode kind of felt average in my opinion. There was some decent characterization and minor world building moments. A couple of revelations here and there. Nothing stood out in particular that much.

Liked the colder approach to the emotions of the characters again. They felt refreshing and were very much welcome.

The horrible lip sync in the first half of the episode was very distracting though, to say the least.

What is Suguro playing here; leaving full charge of Argevollen to Jamie and Arandas' mechanic team all of a sudden? O.o
I guess, he probably doesn't want to be held responsible if something were to go wrong with either the pilot or mecha now.

Seems like Samonji has changed a lot since he started piloting the Perphevollens; not even saluting his friend Colonel Izumi as he walked right pass him.
But I might be wrong. Samonji can be unpredictable sometimes; Like how he suddenly had sex with Suzushiro last episode. :9 What if he's plotting against Cayenne secretly?

Jamie gets a good grasp of what the U-Link System's brain projection does to its pilot. Tokimune must've been having some tough time inside.
Good to see he comforted her a bit. This guy matured up quite a lot!

Decent episode. I'm assuming Richthofen will be back by next week? That's one fresh-looking mecha at the end!

I hate this guys fucking voice

Once again another less than mediocre episode for a less than mediocre anime.

All i can say is this build up better lead to something big.

Two months? I liked Okui being bothered by Samonji's abrupt departure, putting the first bug in Tokimune's ear that there's something more to it than a promotion. The second bug was placed by Suguro, which will lead him to realize that Samonji is doing this for Reika's dream. Which will likely lead to a confrontation in which Tokimune has to stop Samonji whose lost himself a la Reika.

Silly Cayenne, he really thinks Samonji and Izumi had a falling out because of his decision, but we know that probably isn't true based on the unknown favor Samonji asked him at the end of their last conversation. Just don't know what the hell Samonji plans on doing, especially because his goals should more or less align with Cayenne's at this point.

Man that U-Link experience for Jamie was insane. That and the 'sound' keeping Tokimune safe have me very eager to get to the bottom of that phenomenon. And seeing our grumpy pal Richthofen ready for action at the end, I have a good feeling we just might get our answers soon.

And I know I say this every time, but my god Tokimune's development. His talk with Jamie put his character into perspective better than ever, and gave a sense of content compromise with whatever is to come because of the place he's found for himself. Only thing left is to see whether he's thrown away his hateful feelings from early in the series and will make helping Samonji his focus in order to bring closure to his sister's story, or if he's still patiently waiting for revenge somewhere.

Episode quite calm as was the previous
Looks like they are getting closer to the truth about the Argevollen, and Jamie and Tokimune seem closer too
I really do not like that Samonji, I'm waiting for the time that the enemy of the Argevollen will kill him
I want to see more action scenes, I hope the next episode will be more hectic ..

This was a character/ plot episode in my best guess. Setting things up for the final showdown.
Poor jamie couldnt handle the Arge's systems. MC seems completely un-bothered by them.
And of course the guys in blue are given the same tech as the guys in green, but newer looking as usual.

So Samonji started commanding those units in order the protect Tokimune from having the fight Argevollen?
That's what the ending suggested at least.

And it seems the enemy has new units as well so things could still get very messy and they probably will.
Seeing as the conclusion is nearing.

One part of the brass collaborates, or better, conspires, with a industry cartel, for reasons as of yet unkown, the other part discusses whether to take down their most succesful officer and weapon, because they see him as an obstacle on the way to peace.

Isn't there a single decent person there? Colonel Izumi may be, but i wouldn't be sure of it, and so far he hasn't done anything that actually achieved anything.

And that scene with Tokimune and Jamie...it was nice, but i wouldn't exclude Tokimune dying in the end now. It just looked like a set up for that. Generally this series isn't that dark..but with Reika's death in the background, who knows..

Anyways, if they don't end extremly abrupt, but show some "aftermath", things have to heat up pretty soon..

I bet Samonji and Izumi have their own play here. They just making it look like all works as Cayenne planned while maintaining their own aims.

The higher ups think they're controlling their soldiers like pawns, when in fact Samonji is doing it for his own reasons. I can't wait to see this all blow up in the face of the top brass and those war mongering corporations!

I'm still in disbelief that Samonji slept with Suzushiro, and I can't believe how fat that ladies man has become! That cleft chin was really distracting for some reason, and I can't believe that the mechanic girl actually cozied up to him...

Tokimune's characterization has surprisingly become less annoying and a little more relateable. I can totally see where this series is going though, either Blondie kills off Samonji with his side's Perphevollens, and Tokimune takes up his mantle for revenge, or the U-Link system messes with Samonji's mind and Tokimune is forced to save him somehow.

Ah well.... just a few more episodes to finish things up

The story evolves and not every cloud has a silver lining, under tant points of view, who knows if this will be also the key to the future success of Argevollen.
Narratively you notice a trend in the war and in the internal balance of power, but also in the life of every day of the eighth division.
Who knows what the future holds.
Drawings suficienti, what a pity!
However, I really liked the handling of the secret of Argevollen, had better realize it.

Still waiting to see when will they drop a nuke on all those superiors.
Lorenz finally made a move on her huh, about time. It's not good to make a lady wait.
Nice bit of sweet moment between Tokimune and Jamie.. just kiss already.
The other side is also ready, time to tear each other apart.
