The Bloodline of the Kuromachi had for as long as memory could prevail were a secret treasury of family, the bloodline allowed the user to open vents or holes if you prefer which connected the real world to something equivalent of a personal storage space, a third dimension that exists between his the ordinary dimension of the soul and that of the physical body. This third realm is in itself an exstension of the persons soul and body, a third realm which connects the two more tightly together than would normally be possible. This close interconnection of body spirit grants both advantages and disadvantages, being so closely linked to his or her body, the Kuromachi can develop abilities that defy the regular use of other similar abilities, like the ability of the uchiha to to transport oneself and others to a personal realm, the Kuromachi can do the same however without the great cost at which the uchiha has to pay, and his increased control of his own soul allows him more power and control if he was to fight or use his own third realm, it is the close link of soul and body provided by the third realm that allowes the Kuromachi to basicly vanish from existence into his own world, the variations of use last as long as the users creativity. The weaknesses that comes with the bloodline however are quite severe, the third realm is in essence an unattural component of the body, and while it does bring the kuromachi many benefits it also breaks the normal flow of chakra within their bodies, due to this very few Kuromachi possess the ability to mold chakra anything further than simple e rank jutsu, instead most of their chakra is used to fuel the links between their connections points, being chakra dry for a Kuromachi means he loses ability in all three realms and could possibly die from the experience, the connection itself between soul and body causes harm to both if ether is dealt damage, or both of them will hurt if the third realm is somehow damaged, in essence if you punch a Kuromachi in the gut, your also punching the souls equivalent, though the third realm remains mostly unharmed as long as the Kuromachi survives the punch. To counter the weakness of jutsu and the "exposed" nature of their bodies most Kuromachi learn martial arts of both physical and tool variaties similar to that of Shinobi, however this is the only similarity they share; the Kuromachi is a noble clan of the Common people rather than the Shinobi clans. For this reason the Kuromachi posses a regular army, their "shinobi" are agents or special units rather than a shinobi squad system. This army had been unsused for years as the family had lavished in wealth and political power in the greater state of water, they controlled the lucrative trade with the far distant countries to the north and partly the routes to the land of lightning, trade taxation and other buisnesses in the mainland had made the old clan rich and famous among the elite, the needs for an army was rarely reminded to a clan which grew more and more used to paying for the services of the mist and other mercenaries. Due to a third weakness of the bloodline, an increasing mental instability and a potential to snap led the Kuromachi to almost abandon its practice, however some among them are unhappy about this development, most of all Meikaika, the next in line to the clans heritage, who seeks to unravel the secrets of his bloodline along with a slowly growing cabal of like-minded clansmen. |
