After the death of Emari Havoc took time off from the squad to give himself time to grieve and to think on what he should be doing. A particular set of Emari’s last words echo within Havoc’s mind.
“Father doesn’t take no for an answer.”
It irritated him, frustrated him, and angered him.
If he wants the job done he should do it himself not force it onto others
Havoc could not help but blame his father and the clan for what had happened to Emari. His father had given the order and the clan did not stop it; who sends the sister to kill the brother? In Havoc’s mind the clan were just as guilty as his father, no not guilty, corrupt. His father had corrupted the clan. He turned its focus onto power and strength and away from learning.
Weak and exiled from the clan he was nothing to them but strong and exiled, now he was a threat. And a threat he would be as Havoc discovered what he must do and resolved himself to see it through to the end; for Emari. If you find an infestation in your fields what do you do? Burn it to the ground so it doesn’t spread.
He was strong but not strong enough and for that he would need more skills like Kuzuki sensei had been trying to teach them. Suddenly Havoc remembered the scroll Emari had given to him and felt guilty he had not looked at it sooner. He practically rips the scroll out of his satchel in his haste and opens it up eager to read it. As he does so he discovers it is a scroll of techniques but not ninjutsu, fuinjutsu. All manner of sealing and barrier techniques were held within the scroll but two grabbed his immediate attention.
The first is described as a chunin level technique and the easier of the two as he sets about copying the seals onto 5 different tags. Deciding to test it right away he attaches four of the tags to kunai and scatters them around him forming a square. The fifth he attaches to a leaf and places it in the center of the square. Havoc charges the seals with his chakra and watches the seals activate as he tries to destroy the leaf. Try all he might he could not cut, rip, crush or burn the leaf. The Five Seals Barrier truly was a great defensive tool especially if he could specify himself as the forbidden object.
Having successfully tested the first fuinjutsu he turns to the second and is quick to find it is not actually fuinjutsu but rather direct chakra control. Studying the seal he realises he has used this same principle before except in his impact rune. A force or wave of chakra used to knock a foe back or to increase the impact of an attack. This jutsu however was clearly designed with one goal in mind, repulsion.
Havoc channels his chakra into the palm of his right hand and can see it slowly glow blue with chakra. Stretching his arm outright Havoc expels the chakra as a large spherical burst of chakra explodes from his palm acting as a barrier. It took quite the amount of chakra but it was easy to see that the Repulsion Technique would be able to deflect projectiles and even people with ease; a great addition to his arsenal.
Witnessing the strength of these two techniques let alone the rest of the scroll tears well up in Havoc’s eyes and spill out onto his face as he thanks Emari from the bottom his heart as she has given him the strength to take on the clan if he learns all that is inside the scroll.
“Thank-you…. Emari.”
