THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Yukimura and his brother really has a complex relationship just by the nature of this episode. I also feel like Yukimura has a hard time finding his purpose in his life.

But for the episode itself, I thought it did a decent job exploring both of their natures. And poor Yukimura, he risked his life again this episode to save another. What a brave man.

This episode was quite nice. Also, this anime made me like Yukimura much more then the games, where I was quite annoyed by him sometimes. Although I still sympathize with Nobuyuki's ideals and goals.

Well, that's what Tokugawa really did, in part to prevent a power struggle after his death, and in part to spark a confrontation with the Toyotomi. However, Ieyasu still retained much of the power until his death, with Hidetada often being relegated to a figurehead.

He did a one day trip in thirty minutes or so.

That theater after the credits, so fun, it should be a spin off.

I am starting to like this more than Judge End. Most of Sengoku Mushou plot seems will be focusing on post Sekigahara, something that Judge End does not do. I wonder if this is a coincidence or the animation team intentionally do Sengoku Musou where Judge End ended which is post Sekigahara.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Yukimira-san made what it's right and run away taking the child to the other village to save her life. I like what he made. If it was to me, I would make the same choice... :)

Yeah after the episode i researched the real life events and hot damn man. Would be nice for the anime to have a twist tho. He's so annoying.

While it's a shame that Nobuyuki is portrayed as a complete ass, I think it's even more unfortunate that it looks like future events are going to hinge on his being manipulated by Fuuma.
The whole 'evil twisting things behind the scenes' is a little of an overused plot element, and I think it takes away from the show where having Nobuyuki be a plain old prejudiced fool would at least make him an awful person. Going so far as to have him manipulated by third rate magic acts from a spooky supernatural ninja just turns him into a complete joke of a character without any sort of saving grace.

But I don't know, maybe Fuuma is a traditional antagonist and manipulator in the Sengoku Musou series, in which case the turn of events might make a little more sense.

I think you meant Hidetada - Nobuyuki is Yukimura's brother.
As for Kotaro - I say his current role is a reference to his story in Sengoku Musou 2, where he was a big bad, who could appear on a random battlefield just for lulz (since his masters, Hojo clan, were unrepresented in the game back then). In recent games he is pretty much a Hojo vassal with dark sense of humor. So they expanded Kotaro's role after Hojo's fall and came back to roots (in SW2 his story was about him manipulating Hojo and, later, Tokugawa from the shadows).

That's what Sengoku Basara is for. Sengoku Musou is more historically accurate. Even in the games, there's not much deviation from history - a few routes end with a different side winning a pivotal battle, but those are the exception rather than the rule.

Now, as AntonKutovoi hinted, they could have Hidetada being Kotaro's plaything and puppet, but it's doubtful he's going to die or be dead unless they show an old and gray Nobuyuki as part of an epilogue.

Ewwwww Hidetawa is Shogun????? Wtf anyone BUT him please!

Wow, Yukimura is a great guy, going a dangerous route all the way to save a child. I don't even think that he did it to prove anything, I feel like he just did it out of the kindness of his own heart. Although if I were the mom I'd be at least a little skeptical of a dangerous warrior taking my sickly daughter down a perilous road in the mountain :p

That I did.

That background helps to put things into perspective, thanks.
