| Haibane Renmei Sasameki Koto My first serious shoujo-ai. I wasn't expecting it to hit me as hard as it did. I found myself relating a lot with Sumi, and the sadness that arose from her unrequited feelings for someone who wasn't attracted to her type. Excel Saga This show provided a different kind of emotional experience. When I'm in need of an anime to lighten my mood, I'll put on Excel Saga or something like it. It's very ridiculous and fun. Kakugo no Susume The feels I felt during Kakugo no Susume were those of nausea and stress. This is the first show to ever make me physically sick. One of the reasons why I have such an affinity for soothing slice of life anime now is because I've seen too much of this kind of shit. |

| Elfen Lied For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to watch Elfen Lied while I worked today. I was in a pretty decent mood this morning, and now I feel exhausted and depressed. It was graphic as f**k, but not as awful as I had heard. |

Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does, and then it gets even worse after that. Elfen Lied was probably more distressing overall than Kite, which has a hentai rating. And that ending was life draining. Nice OST, though. Lol. |
