Skipping first Season for Refrain?

There are mostly bad reviews for the first season but the sequel got good ones. I want to know if it's possible to skip the first one and watch Refrain right of the bat because I don't want to go through 26 episode of an anime and make it seem like a chore. ADVICE?

Better yet, don't watch Little Busters! at all. But if you insist, I think you must watch the first before the second.

You won't understand much if you don't watch the first season so I sugges you either watch it or read up a summary somewhere for the first season to at least get some idea of the main plot

Just dont!!! If you want to watch LB!, then start it with the first season, otherwise its not gonna make you any sense.

Don't do that.
The first season is like a emotional build up for this season, if you skip then you will not have the feels

I don't like to be that guy but you should read the VN.

First season and most character's route weren't really good in the anime, the reason season 2 gets good reviews is because the true plot is really really great, even if the anime isn't.

In Clannad you can be actually satisfied with the anime but Little Busters lost a lot in the transition.

I think you should stay away from the anime and read the VN, you are losing much from a great story if you watch it. It's not that hard to find it on the web with the english patch, if you want you can PM me and I will send you the links.

I do not really suggest you to do that. Mostly because in S1 they give connection and background before the sequel starts kicking up. If you watch S2 you would get confused x.x

agree with this, you can read visual novel for the season 1 routes, then watch refrain anime and get the gist of things... also there's a whole like couple hour side story of gags that you'll never see anywhere in the original which is sad.
