| Great news ! Just now I have been delighted to discover that this series is very successful in Japan. This is on the basis of "Amazon Stalker points". Here are the numbers that I looked up just a few minutes ago: Volume 1 06/24 BRDRE 2660 BRDBM 716 DVDRE 343 DVDBM 117 Volume 2 07/22 BRDRE 2525 BRDBM 972 DVDRE 63 DVDBM 130 Volume 3 08/26 ... Volume 4 ... ... BRDBM = Blu-ray disk, clear book mark included （クリアブックマーカー付） BRDRE = Blu-ray disk, regular edition DVDBM = DVD, clear book mark included （クリアブックマーカー付） DVDRE = DVD, regular edition Simply put, these numbers are a measure of how many fans in Japan are preordering the Blu-rays and DVDs. In my experience of looking at Amazon Stalker points for various anime series, these numbers are very respectable. But many other people here on MAL are much better skilled at properly analyzing these numbers and putting them in context of other sources of information. Given the unusual nature of "Tesapuru", I am really surprised that it is getting such a positive reaction. To be honest, I was expecting that this series would crash and burn in Japan because of the experimental niche style. That is why I have been anxiously checking for the Amazon Stalker points to come out over the past week. |
