Half of the episode was an advertisement for the game ...

People rage about Ninja Slayer, but this is definitely the worst anime this season. In fact, I think it's the worst anime I've ever watched.

Wow great episode yet again,the characterization was incredible.
Holmes-san is one of the most recognizable figures in all of animu, and it can often be difficult for watchers to strip away their preconceptions about Holmes-san and see how the episodes actually portray him. Most people think of Holmes-san as a force of pure reasoning, an almost superhuman mind capable of solving any puzzle. Although these episodes do confirm this stereotype to some degree, they also complicate this image, as is clear in this weeks episode. Here watchers see multiple sides of Holmes-san: he moves from quiet contemplation to frantic activity, virtually asleep one moment and practically pushing Hudson out the door in hot pursuit of clues the next. Hudson comments that Holmes-san has a “dual nature,” and we the watchers see evidence of this throughout the entire episode, as when Holmes-san transitions instantly from fervently investigating the clues at the Elizabeths apartment to lounging the day away at his armchair. Holmes veers wildly from one extreme to the next, making him far more eccentric than first-time watchers might expect.
Although these extremes of behavior might suggest that Holmes-san is not a realistic, well-rounded character, close watchers(Mal users) of the series will notice that he is also capable of more complicated emotions. Holmes-san displays warm friendship for his “dear Hudson” but usually rebuffs his friend’s attempts to find out what he is thinking. Even more troubling is the question of Holmes-san’s motives in solving cases. While it is implied that Holmes-san does hand criminals over to the police, serving justice is not his primary concern. Instead, Holmes-san is primarily interested in the case as an intellectual challenge, a puzzle to be solved. At the end of this epidode for example, Holmes suggests that his reward came from hearing an interesting case and settling a private score and not from keeping the public safe by putting a known criminal behind bars. Even in this episodes final moments, the creators further complicates viewers’ image of Holmes-san, who responds indifferently to Hudson’s praise and says that he pursued the case solely to escape the boredom of everyday life. Holmes-san is therefore a character viewers easily recognize as superhuman/vampire, but also one who is just as human as everyone else.

Really the only other anime short that comes close to the complexity in terms of characterization is Inferno Cop.
I'm hyped for next week.

Holmes' motto for his leaflet was just glorious! Not to mention his philosophical conversation with Hudson about heaven and hell. Simply amazing! 5/5.

P.S: Did the fansubbers give up on this Masterpiece? Tsk.. Tsk.. Such a shame.

Wow, it was hard to find. But nice episode. This season had very few watchable anime. This one is the best after Gintama. Why didn't they make it 20 minutes?

Put this on hold since they stopped subbing, but finally found out it's all subbed.

_HeroKenzan_'s post was A++.

I forgot how funny this was in an absurd and nonsensical way. Still more entertaining than Ameiro Cocoa. I like how Hudson deciphered that ad.
