| I've always enjoyed what Baka-Raptor puts out. A nice balance of geekiness, masturbatory humour, and pointful prickle. The low-maintenance, minimum effort, but thoughtful pithiness is a key part of the appeal. I'm not sure how things are now, but he's surely the same funny fellow still. ghostlightning's We Remember Love was a very likeable mech-oriented blog - too bad it's dead now. I'm not too keen on youtube sorts given how time-consuming videos tend to be, but Demo-D has a good thing going. Some of the anime-talk feels pretty '/a/'-like, and the quick-fire jokes might come across as obnoxious, but that all sits well with me. Last but not least, Grumpy Jii-san would always set a lovely mood with his videos as he (quite literally) went about the world. Always a joy to watch and listen to. He will be missed. |
| I normally try to keep away from reviews of shows I haven't seen because I like going into anime as blind as possible. So I stick to stuff that I've already watch to gain a wider perspective on a particular show, or thoughts on airing shows. That being said, I watch a good amount of anime youtubers as hearing people talk about shows they like just gets me into the mood to watch anime. |
