Are the chapters out of order or something...?

I've been reading the manga and am on Chapter 17, but I've noticed that it seems to skip a ton of the events that I remember from the anime yet the characters still remember them happening.
So, is it out of order? If so is there any place I can read it in the right order?

Well, if I were to guess, the scan group working on it skipped the already anime adapted content and only translated new content.

Seems it shows here the chapters translated were

*1-8 from the Volume 1
*9-11 from the Volume 3
*1-6+Bonus/Extra pages from Volume 4

If you cound those 8(V1), 3(V2) and 6(v3) you get em 17 chapters, but seemingly there's a gap between the contents of volume 1 and volume 3.

Also checked the scanlators website and it seems they name their releases with volume and chapter of that volume to kinda avoid misunderstandings

It's not really weird for groups do this kind of release.

And it looks like nobody bothered to translate the missing chapters in the meantime either.

Furthermore, not a single review about this manga? I am surprised, since the anime adaption has quiet a lot members (75k) here on MAL and 54 reviews.

Anime = those missing chapters. Totally no difference there, anime repeat all the lines from the original manga. That is why they were not tranlsated at first. They are being translated now though, very slowly. For the sake of completeness, I guess.

Also, (Un)official Sakura Trick Doujinshi “Sakura Trick Happy Days” was published in August 2019, sort of epilogue, and is available in english.
It contains HUGE spoilers about all previous events, do not read it if you want to read original manga first.
