| Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh, Hey guys, new to this group, so I'm not sure if this is OK to ask here. Since genio is going bastardo (lamest jab ever, I know) on me, is anybody up for some modern pen-palship? I'm looking for someone -particularly from Pakistan- so that he/she can teach me Urdu, as well as national and/or regional Pakistani culture. If language exchange is not your thing, I can make it worth your while. I'm willing to pay up to $5/hr. It's not much, but at least it's an incentive if all else bummed you. Just casual conversations, we can talk about anime, games, Ummah affairs, medicine, art, etc. Urdu learning should be the direction though, and it has to be involved. Of course, I'd be willing to teach you Arabic too, so feel free to learn with me as well. Again, nothing formal, it would be mostly casual, prefer smartphone (kik, telegram, whatsapp, etc), but can do on PC. T_T The thing with Urdu is, there's barely any good resources online, or heck, anywhere for that matter. What I'm really trying to say is: you can never learn Urdu properly without a native speaker's help. Thanks tho, I'll be waiting! Edit: it's worth mentioning that I did try those sites, but most guys are non-committed. I.e. just give a couple of advices before shooting off, not there for the long term, and for Urdu, you really need someone to guide you through. |

It needs constant practice. The problem is that there aren't even Urdu dramas available online with subtitles. Though you should try movies. |
