| I'm not talking about love between friends but between real lovers. Did she ever actually love him or was it more of a duty for her to keep her promise of marrying him? She definitely loves him as a friend, but she never actually shows her affection towards him as a potential lover would. Apart from the picnic the four of them go to where she acts jealous and the scene where she cries because she sees Sentarou with Yurika for the first time, there's no situation to prove that she's in love with Sentarou. I believe it was all a childish notion of love and she only loves him as a friend, mistaking it for actual love, and realizes it after she begins to develop feelings for Kaoru, therefore realizing what real love is. Thoughts? |

| I'd say so. Not sure how they portray it in the show, but the original manga (I just finished so I want to watch the adaptation now), she clearly has a crush on him. It was fleeting, sure. But how its portrayed between her focus on Sen and her thoughts on the matter, it definitely felt like she had a crush on him. She took some time to move on, and her love for Kaoru that transcend the crush type of love. |
| Yes she did, she even mentioned it when Sentarou confronts her about it. I think she said something about that time "being over", there was a time but not anymore. - This was when she started to fall in love with Kaoru (actually fall in love with him) |
