I'm happy to be investing my time into another Dezaki and Sugino venture which has become one of my favorite things in this medium by far.

Quite a whimsical start and i'm looking forward to the rest.

Also, an interesting narrator voice we've got here and some really beautiful images in the ED (I LOVE the ED song as well!).

A very good first episode, quite of a unique thing overall.
Those 2 creatures accompanying the Snow Queen? character were odd, but the whole scene just lasted a few seconds. I wonder how that will keep building up.

So I stumbled across this anime by accident... and I'm glad I did. It's been quite a long time, what with watching ongoing seasonal shows, that I've watched something that starts with such a relaxing pace.

I love the art style and they've set a great mood for the village and heaped on some foreshadowing without making it sound too cheesy. Looking forward to seeing how the story develops. I also forgot how synopses of these anime (with longer run length) tend to actually spoil the first few episodes... rather than the first 10 minutes of the first episode xD

And finally, looking forward to finding out the significance of all this symbolism being thrown around~ :D

This looks like a decent fantasy show with a fantastic artistic approach. I assume things will get very interesting in the next episodes.

Finally started watching this after its been sitting in the ptw list for years, I've actually read the original story so it'll be fun to see how they'll expand on it.

I'm surprised to see so many recent posts in this thread. To me this show has become the iconic case of "Will I ever actually watch that?" I've had it PTW (offsite) since 2015. I'd like to try to watch it a year from now.

I really like animated fairy tales and this is a very famous one directed by Dezaki, so its a must watch and I'm glad that I finally came to it.

Digging the comfy atmosphere and the narrator, I guess I'm in for a treat.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron
