Monogatari Series: Final Season
| So I watched the series twice, but there are a few things I still dont quite understand. Gaen mention in Owarimonogatari that Koyomi had to take responsibility of what he did, but what exactly did he do? Was it because he brought Shinobu to the shrine and caused Seishirou to revive? Or did he do something else? And since he was "responsible" didn't he have to find Seishirou and kill him? He managed to put the talisman on him, so I thought this was all over? Finally, in Koyomimonogatari, Gaen said Koyomi failed his job (taking responsibility). How did he fail? He finished off Seishirou. Or am I missing some crucial information which can explain why koyomi had to be killed? |

THESE ARE SOME MAJOR SPOILERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Oshino Ougi is not Meme's niece at all, but an apparition that acts on Koyomi's reckless self-criticism and destructive nature (vague, I know) that he would never otherwise act upon. She's very hard to explain, but she's the reason why Nadeko became a god and is probably continuing to cause problems in the town Gaen is trying to protect. To stop her from causing more problems, she took the extreme measure of killing Koyomi. I'm really don't know how much this all relates to the events of Shinobu Mail with Seishirou, I hadn't considered its relevancy. But yeah, it all comes down to Ougi, not Seishirou (unless I'm also missing something) We should just wait for the next part of Owarimonogatari where the truth should be revealed clearly. Should be in 2017. |
