None of them does. The personalities of the characters are more loyal in the anime than the manga. As for the story, manga and anime adaptates different parts of the novel, but the main diffrence is that the novel is not focused on azalie. Azalie is just part of the first volume (out of 20) and thats it. Manga and anime work all the stories at the same time as orphen is still looking for azalie.
