Heck, when I see "Ajin" in the synopsis I can't help but remember that other show.

It seems like a discount MonMusu :/ except in this show the ecchi aspect seems gonna be half-assed, unlike MonMusu that went all out. Also maybe some people are already avoiding it because they see A-1 Pictures :/

Me? I'm not expecting anything, just gonna check this out for the heck of it :P
No seriously.

MonMusu didn't even bother with a half-decent spider walk animation, so it's already discount in my eyes. :D

Look at those gorgeous KyoAni beetle legs in my avatar. That's some top-notch sakuga right there~

Seeing the literal daily life of monster girls without ecchi is an attraction in itself. MonMusu had that at times, moreso in the barely animated web shorts. Rachnera getting drunk on caffeine because real spiders do, that's the BEST. I'd love to see an innocent "cute monster girls doing cute things" show. Wasurenagumo did that with its adorable little spider girl, although it eventually took a turn for evil rather than ecchi.

So anything between that and MonMusu is fine with me, and with that premise/synopsis I don't care about the animation quality. I grew up in the Macromedia Flash age with dialup internet access. I'd even watch this in JK Meshi/Crane Game Girls form.

You're on the losing side if you expect this to be a series that focus on ecchi

The manga has a nice style of it's own. I am expecting a train wreck, and to be absolutely bitter, because I really like the manga. Compare the art in the manga with that poster, and it already seems like they'll be taking this in a direction that doesn't fit at all

People responsible for some of my favourite anime are responsible for that: Working, Elfen Lied, Gate, Shokugeki no Souma...

The studio? None of the series I watched and were made by them disappointed me. Aldnoah Zero, Gate, Working, Ryyugajou Nanana no Maizoukin, Sekai Seifuku, Magic Kaito, Galilei Donna were all amazing and memorable.

The manga itself? Great material for an adaptation as well.

I'm waiting with bated breath.

people speaking bullshit and even add more bullshit... sigh...

> no, it's anything but monmusu or rosario+vampire... it's extreamly focused in comedy and slice of live with really few ecchi.. with spice some of psychological..

i would argue if the art in anime is "worse"... again, this was supposed to be animated, which mean animator have to draw again and again much more than manga... hoping same amount of detail is imposible... i found manga art is worse TBH, because sometimes it's incosistant and anatomy oftenly wierd...

i am more concerened about the content it self than visual... there is only 3 volume available so far.. it would be really big scratch to even adapt it properly in a cour series... there is still frash memories how awful dagashi kashi was...

Animator having to draw again is an excuse? There's hundreds of animes that stay true to the source material's art style. This is not in no way accurately adapting the source material. The art in the manga is not inconsistent at all, and has it's own style which adds to the manga's feeling of not being another dime a dozen slice of life manga. This on the other hand is pandering. Making an adaptation that instead of being faithful to the source tries to pander and add moe and cuteness to something that doesn't need it just to get more people to watch it. This kind of crap is why so many people say anime is declining, with companies constantly adding moe and cutesy crap and fanservice, not because they add anything, but because this kind of crap sells.

An adaptation is meant to bring something to a different medium. A-1 is rarely ever faithful to their adaptations, and in doing so ruin a lot of series that had potential. Ao no Exorcist is a perfect example of an anime that could have been enjoyable, but they decided to stop being faithful to the source manga and give it an absolute god awful anime-only ending.

I saw the manga, and it's basically a really bland harem (with bad art, in the manga), kinda like the really boring old stuff you used to get in the 90s. You can expect the manga to tune up the art, but it's basically going to be a typical bland slice of life, but with a smattering of awkward teacher-student harem.
Be thankful for the wisdom granted to you.

The manga is touching story exploring issues of social anxiety, search for self-identity, being bound by social expectations and stereotypes, etc. IT has a great albeit simplistic art and barely if any fanservice as the focus is on the dialogue the characters have with each other as the issues the characters have are explored. The focus is exactly on that - HAVING A TALK between people about their issues. It has an INTERVIEW in the title for a reason. Stuff like this is what this manga is made of.

Its not kitsch like monmusu so let's not compare it to shit like that.

That said I expect this to be a trainwreck. The Director did barely anything relevant and everything he did was full of fanservice(Gate, nuff said). The writer, Yoshioka Takao literally has ZERO good things in his resume and all of his works are either incomprehensible trainwreck or sleazy schlock.

The PV already misses the tone of the work completely and the character designs are moe-iffied and ruined and some things the prod staff said about this are already showing they are missing the point of what this is.

This will bomb worse than A1's Phoenix Wright Adaptation.

Oh my god, why did no one inform me of this? I love Monster Musume and if this is similar but with less fanservice I'm so in :3

My expectations are quite high around here, since I do like the character designs for the anime (the same character designer of Asterisk mind you, I like it even though its not amazing but it was cute in a way), also this seems more like my type of series honestly.

Second CM was really boring :/

Very stale directing and it seems that the adaptation is going more for "cute girls cute things" tone.

This really could have benefited from being adapted by SHAFT.

Seems like the first episode will be a 1-hour special
I like this trend. This is the second anime getting 1-hour first episode this season with Chaos;Child.

Also, New PV
