An official Niconico live program has announced more details for the upcoming anime adaptations of Ao Oni The Animation on September 30. In addition to the short TV anime, Toshirou Hamamura (CGI Director of Wake up, Girls!) will also be directing the movie adaptation of the series while Takemaru Abiko (Kamaitachi no Yoru visual novel) will be in charge of the script. An updated key visual (pictured) has been unveiled as well.

Furthermore, the short TV anime is scheduled to premiere on October 2, 2016 on TV Tokyo and BS Japan channels. Hiroki Touchi (Trinity Blood) will cast as the narrator.

A horror....anime?....That looks good? Has my dream finally come true?

I just read the game's plot and it sounds really interesting. The plot is almost like Outlast. Im'a give this a watch. This better scare me because no horror anime has managed to scared me.

Idk if this will be a good horror series. I hope it goes for a tone similar to Boogiepop Phantom, not something like Danganronpa (its Ao Oni though, I think it will be scary, unless done terribly)

An Ao Oni anime has extreme potential, the only thing I'd see holding it back would be the staff not taking it seriously enough.
My expectations are so low it's unbelievable D:
