No, really, why? I can understand it when it's broadcasted in the same time with the actual series, as lots of things happen, but to turn it into ten episodes? Are they up for an season two? Perhaps if the final two novels appear.

I was totally 'wth' when they announced it in the end of the final episode... Most of what I like about the anime is the built up, the taking of the 50 episodes to reach that ending, a summary will completely ruin that feeling lowering the series' quality =/
And a summary right after the original ends... If the was season 2 they might as well just go on from where they left, no need for a summary, I believe...

That's really weird. I've never liked summary episodes because I'm pretty good at remembering what happened before. If I don't remember it's either because it was really unimportant or it's been so long that I need to watch it again.
A whole series of summaries seems necessary.

kinda ironic...50 ep is too much and 10 ep too less
:S
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Maybe they wanted the summary because they plan to make a second season? That way those new to the series could just watch the summary even if they haven't seen the original fifty episodes. Although I am surprised they didn't just make it into a movie. 200 minutes is pretty long for that but not overmuch by blue-ray standards. If it wasn't going to be played in theaters a direct to blue-ray release wouldn't have been bad at all.

I watched the full 50 eps version, but I'd also like to watch this if it was subbed.

I def wouldn't of watched this right after having finished the anime, but its been a few years and I do love this story. I would so watch this if it were subbed too. heck, I might have to watch it raw.

Very hard to find and really not worth it to be honest, they do summarize up pretty much the most important points but the lack in extended character development does ruin up the nice build up the 50 episodes had compared to these recaps.

Sadly it's not available anywhere, the "internet" doesn't even have raw.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
