 The official Twitter account of game developer HolicWorks announced that BL visual novel Taishou Mebiusline will be receiving a TV anime in 2017. Tentatively titled Taishou Chicchai-san, each episode of the anime will be 5 minutes long. A key visual featuring the protagonist Kyouichirou Hiiragi in both normal and chibi form has also been revealed. The story takes place in the Taishou era (1912~1926), centering on Kyouichirou Hiiragi who travels to the capital to join Japan's army during their wars with foreign countries. However, he finds the military's thirst for power to threaten to consume even his life… (Source: VNDB, edited) The BL visual novel was released via LoveDelivery label on December 21, 2012 for Windows platform. A PlayStation Portable version was released on February 27, 2014 via Dramatic Create. A picture novel began its serialization via Papyless on April 27, 2015 and PlayStation Vita version was released on January 28, 2016. A fan disc titled Taishou Mebiusline: Teito Bibouroku was also released on December 18, 2015. CANT YOU TELL ITS THE SAME GUY LOOK AT THE HAIR AND CLOTHES. no its not his son i assure you I was really excited since weeks ago when they said there'd be a big announcement on the 21st (I was totally expecting an anime adaptation since the FD's already getting a vita) so I'm really happy about this news! Sadly it'll only be 5 minutes long... It'll probably just be cute short extra stories with Kyouichirou and the rest (LOTS OF IORI PLEASE) and won't touch on the main story at all... Mm... That disappoints me T__T but I guess we're lucky we're getting an anime adaptation at all! My sister doesn't have time to play the game, so we were all getting hyped up thinking it would be a full adaptation (so she wouldn't have to play it) but I don't think non-players would enjoy this LOL since they're not attached to the characters yet! Hopefully it brings new players to the game though-- it's definitely not just any ordinary BL game. (silent whisper: i wonder if they'll be showing the character relationships in the main disk or the fandisk... since they're really quite different.) The only BL I have seen selling over 100k a volume is junjou romantica and Sekai ichi hatsukoi. And guess what they all got an anime! I don't think Kumota sensei has stopped doing BL. I got the latest copy of Be Boy Gold and she has a new chapter of Itoshi no Nekokke in it. |

Let's just not forget this. An DerCen animating Trick or Alice is a branch studio of PrimeTime. parAdI Ce animating No,Thank You!!! is another branch of PrimeTime also. We finally got news of ToA after years so I don't think the studio is abandoning their other anime project. It's just my own speculation of the silence that went for years but if that's the case then more good news then. I'm not getting my hopes up too much though. |
