The main characters number's equal their names,
Juugo -> Juu (10) + go(5) -> 15
Rock or Roku -> Roku(6) + ku(9) -> 69
Nico -> Ni(2) + go(5) ->25
and even Musashi's name: Muttsu(6)+ san(3) + shi(4) -> 634
and perhaps even more inmates, but you probably get what I want to say.

These are pretty obvious but Uno with the number 11 I can't seem to understand, does he fit the rule or is he simply an exception?
This drives me crazy, help!

It could refer to the spanish "one", but he isn't even from Spain, so this seems weird.

Uno is a card game, which fits Uno as a gambler.

Maybe it's a homage to Nigel Uno, the British cartoon character (though that may sound too far-fetched).
