DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- And now we will hear the tale in full, of Ashuhito and Elm, how he lost his right leg and she, her life and also how John Doe and Dr. Peaberry were involved. I get the feeling that since Ashuhito brought Elm with him and thereby caused her death, he's driven not only by his love for her but also guilt. Though I still don't think they can un-frankenstein Frankensteins. Rereading chapter 10, it looks like he brought Elm with him, something went wrong, John Doe the suspected perpetrator, and Ashuhito begs his father to turn Elm into a Frankenstein knowing full well she won't be the same. |
