| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapter 39: Oh, Fumi~! Just get a hold of yourself! I still cannot believe you are moping around because of Sensei. Of course he has a difficult personality. But then again, when I think that Fumi is only sixteen and this is her first taste of loving someone, I can understand what she is going through. I like it how Kuratsuki is ready to give him his ears when she needs someone to talk about her situation with Akatsuki. Meanwhile, You is so cute! What happened to her confidence that we saw in the earlier chapters? She gets her heart racing just at the sight of Isshin. Isshin my boy, you got your girl in real trouble now! The way she turned red was so cute! And then Gorou comes up and meets with Fumi and sends her in a whole new level of regret by revealing that those persimmons were actually from Akatsuki and it was his way to make up with Fumi. Did I say Fumi looked adorable in her dress? And guess who appeared at the end of the chapter during the announcement of the Mr. and Ms. contest — Akatsuki himself! That means six years have passed since Suzume was sixteen (a second year in high school). That would make her 22 right now. In Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet, Fumi is a sixteen year old (also a second year in high school) which, considering the current timeline as the connection has been made through Gorou, Akatsuki's editor, would make her six year younger than Suzume. |

| You and Isshin are the best couple from the series by far and they deserve more development about the hnr oneshot SHISHIO I ADORE YOU FOR EVER AND THANK YOU YAMAMORI SENSEI FOR FIXING THE MESS THAT WAS THE FIRST ONESHOT PEACE |

| Awww, loved the Shishio one-shot. Still wish he would have ended up with Suzume, but at least he's getting the love he always deserved now. Good chapter, glad all these misunderstandings are finally coming to a close. Hopefully, there won't be anymore silly plot devices like this later on, though. And of course, looks like we're seeing another teacher x student romance developing with Eito & his teacher (Midori-chan). I'm actually glad -- finally gives him some well-needed substance. |
