Poor Serika. I think Takuru may be feeling guilty about what happened to her.

I really wonder if he can get over all these traumatic events.
Nice to see more of Serika's past although I got a bad feeling about that cliffhanger.

Good episode.

Poor Takuru, his parents didn't care about him at all. :(

We pretty much got the whole story of how Serika was given form by Takuru's stress induced Gigalomaniac powers.

Looks like Takuru's Dad is the antagonist behind it all and his motives are so far unkown, Serika mentions him to be a part of a committee. I haven't actually played the VN's for any of the Science Adventure series but is this a reference to

I actually had the thoughts that his dad is linked behind all of this, but man... this anime is such a waste. So much info crammed in every episode, who the fuck thought 12 episodes were a good idea? We have so much skipped information and scenes coming off out of nowhere, like Arimura summoning a D-Sword and I thought Nono/Senri didn't actually die??

Well, now I'm actually kinda disappointed with the direction the plot is moving to. Started pretty interesting, but again like C;H lost the horror/mystery element and turned onto a predictable ending with vague development.

I also hope they explain the reason behind all of this with not just "he is a bad guy and wanted to cleanse gigalomaniacs". There's no reason why Serika would switch sides like that.

Still nice they referenced the Comittee of 300 though.

Well, while the twist was again interesting (although the link to the Committee was essentially inevitable), everything would have been so much more effective if we were actually shown stuff rather than told it all in a massive exposition dump, especially in the first half of the episode.

I didn't think his dad was going to be behind all this, pretty decent twist I guess.

Then again he said that there was a bit of a screw-up with Serika
There's no reason why Serika would switch sides like that.

Protecting Takuru, and that's probably about it.

lol, exactly X) but he was able to clean his name? Its kind of odd, i mean to be able to do that he must have told them everything and they must have believed him and let him go, but it would have been much easier to tag him crazy and pin all the murders on him.

True but at least they did good job in the details. I just noticed that in the pic that you posted SERIKA doesn't have an image in the mirror. X)

Anyway, an OK episode not as good as the last one. It pretty much conformed most of the stuff that we already knew except maybe the things near the end.
Also, what happened to Takuru's real parents after the earthquake? I mean they looked fine and all but why the left him? and they left him and that's why he was send to Aoba clinic?
There are so much question and i hope we get some answers in the next episodes.

What do you mean? Are you talking about how Senri never died and lived as Nono? Or the past ep where she was stabbed? If it's the latter you're referring to, I'm pretty sure they said last ep that she pulled through. Plus Sakuma said this ep that there was a screw-up with her.

I'd assume that Serika switched sides because Sakuma wasn't upholding his side of the bargain, that is for Takuru to not be targeted. This ep she said he was her reason for existence, and showed quite clearly just how far she was willing to go to help him. She also said that she helped him under the condition that Takuru would be safe, and also said that Sakuma went back on his word. I'd say betrayal and a lack of anything beneficial to Serika or Takuru on Sakuma's side would be a reasonable prompt for her to turn against him.

Tfw Silver Link manages to show all the needed details for a comprehensible story but lacks any character development and world building due to the 12 episode restriction.

Serika's backstory was good though and the plot twist was ok but the only foreshadowing that we got was the doctor missing for one episode. I can't wait to play the Visual Novel when it's released in English(if ever).

I'm assuming the last parts of the show is gonna be some D-Sword battles like C;H? For anyone who has played the game is there a true/route ending? I'm hoping they go for at least a tragic ending.

eh, the twist was a bit out of the blue, and knowing the Science Adventure series was half-expected
and hopefully there will be a reason for the extremely specific murders he caused.
But the more interesting part of this episode imo was the hint that Onoe was NOT created by Takuru, as the blonde haired girl nodded to imply Onoe was lying when she said she was created by Takuru. So who made her? And if that wasn't Takuru's wish, what was?

Well, I thought it would be stupid but the explanation surpassed even my wildest dreams o_O
So the reason was? The Church of Divine Light shit again, or Comittee randoms shenanigans even? How bad writing that is?

Well, this was horrible asspull, can't even argue about it. His father is ultimate prototype of bad antagonist.
And here I thougth for a sec that first part of the episode with flashback was relatively well-done.
But the end? Nope. Disappointing af.

And for god's sake, show not tell! The exposition infodump was literally the worst.

I mean, how can everything even make sense to anyone? Not mention that Serika IS actually the killer and save for one throw up they had pretty much non-reaction to her and would be even cooperating now. Like really??

Well, I woudn't say it's a bad writing. And no, Comittee of 300 is like a hidden world government reaching all kinds of spheres influencing people and trying to force an ultimate final distopia where they are leaders of everything.

Gigalomaniacs are an obvious threat, and using them is a good way to establish such control.

There are some rumours/leaks that Chaos;Child might come to English officially this year.
I hear very good stuff about the VN, some people even say it's their favorite entry of SciAdv series. The anime didn't really manage to do anything of worth, but maybe the point was to hype sales....

BOOM, and there's the connection to Steins;Gate and Robotics;Note and of course C;H. The people running the experiments are part of a lower lever branch of the Committee of 300. How many experiments and branches is this Committee part of? I mean they're involved in time travel, mind manipulation technology (C;H), artificial intelligence and planting a persons conscious in it, subliminal message, a mix of the above technologies, using robots for world destruction, and apparently using sub-conscious psychological assessments in this one to mess with Gigalomaniacs. Correct me if I am missing something they have used to manipulate the masses in C;H, C;C, R;N, and S;G. Also there is S;G 0, but if you seen R;N then you kind of know what they are using in that one too.

This was an amazing episode though, I was waiting for the reveal of how each series connected through the Committee. I am guessing this is a different branch of the Committee then the one in Chaos;Head, but knew about the experiments and decided to use a different technique to try to control Gigalomaniacs or the general population.

Anyways, great reveal about who the killer(s) are and that they are connected within the ; series universe.

@Lelouch0202
Yes it is the same people, they are always involved, but use either different techniques to control the population, a mix of techniques seen throughout the multiple series, and different branches of the Committee, since there supposedly is a ton of different branches that are involved in different experiments or same experiments using different methodologies to achieve results.

oh Taku even more deranged in childhood, thx to his parents. They did try to save him & give him basics (money for xmas kinda sad), but otherwise some serious neglect.

Lol Takumi cool? Taku had too much Mountain Dew.
yay committee is back. Fairly basic motivation, hunted the gigas since they were dangerous. Dr Kunosato actually agrees with them, tho she probably won't go that far to kill them.
But Serika's lacking logic, kill others just cuz Sakuma threatens Taku.

But still, it's a nice anime for a VN adaptation (with only 12 eps). Maybe the VN is very good but with only 12 eps may be hard to do a good thing.

I think that this series lost the course!!! Sakuma-sensei is the bad of this series, the earthquake was becasue a fatal error, and Serika is a real imagen of Takuru created in the night of the earthquake!!!

For my taste, this anime series, loses the course and all the emotion!!!

Strange episode.

Takuru's past... well it could have been worse. Although his parents are certainly strange people, they just abandoned their son and didnt even feed him.
And there is something special about imaginary friends. I had them too. And damn, it was fun. I even sometimes remember that time.
Also when i got real friends i sometimes thought that it was more fun with imaginary ones lol.

But really strange things happens during an earthquake. Takuru's thoughts and actions get confused and his parents... just leave him? Its pretty strange, but on the other hand why not, even though its dark.

Serika did nothing wrong? Well, i think she did. But i think its partly her "program" since she is a revived tulpa and is obliged to protect her owner. Or maybe its a feeling of gratitude? An ambiguous character in any case.
And i like how her voice changed. Sumire is great.

And again the villain was nearby. But how was i supposed to guess that the villain was Takuru's adoptive father? There was not single hint of this.
