Fuuka
| Okay, I'm officially conflicted and slightly confused. To start from the top, I haven't read either manga, but I did watch Suzuka a couple of years ago and thought I'd watch Fuuka despite not really liking Suzuka. I avoided spoilers like crazy after reading "you will cry" time and time again. And after finishing the anime the other day, I ended up really liking it. But nothing happened. So I looked it up and found out the anime changed a big event and thought "Okay, don't read the manga. That change is too big to ignore." Then I read WHY they changed it from the manga and thought "So the author wanted a re-take on his/her work? Might actually be worth reading to see how different it is." So now I'm stuck wondering if it's worth reading the manga's (I'll read Suzuka as well if I do) or not...help? xD |
| If you haven't read the manga yet...then it really depends on how you feel about the anime. If you liked the anime, then I'd suggest you stay away from it. Keep your happy ending. But..if you hated the anime, then by all means, take a look at what they changed. The only spoiler I'll give is that it's on Chapter 36, and the manga is right now on 140+ chapters. |

| Yeah if you liked the anime then don't read the manga but read Suzuka instead. |

| Read it even if you saw the anime, it gets really good after they introduce Fuuka Aoi. |
| Okay, first, I know the big difference and like that kind of thing. (Can't say the same for the author. Should NEVER flip-flop on something this big. >_>) Don't get me wrong, I'm not sadistic or anything. I just love a good story and drama. For example, Clannad and Cross Game are two of my favourite anime of all time. Second, I watched Suzuka again to remember why I disliked it and see if the manga was worth reading. My problem was MC issues. Yamato's irresponsibility, etc. But I still read and quite enjoyed the manga. Now I'm more than tempted to read Fuuka. Can you still say I won't like it? |

The difference being KnIM felt like the main pair destroyed many lives on their path to being together where Suzuka didn't. (Poor Asuka. I really liked her, too. ;_;) Seo, like Jun Maeda (Clannad, Angel Beats, etc.), has some weird tastes, but is actually good at delivering them. Each work is different and it comes down to the readers/viewers personal preferences, really... |
| You'll enjoy the Fuuka manga if you like Suzuka since it's far more similar to that than Kimi no Iru Machi. |

| Goddammit...why did I do that...? I'm not gonna be able to get over this any time soon...it's too much...too painful...goddammit... Fuuka is now one of my favourite manga of all time. I read all 150+ available chapters in the last 2 days and have barely stopped crying, don't ask me to pick a favourite Fuuka because both are great and god freaking dammit, Seo is a mad, mad, MAAAD genius. ;_; |
