I am left breathless. Someone please change the genre from it. This is nowhere what the genres tell you. Shizu's not a split personality. She can be possessed by souls of the dead.

Her deceased great grandfather possessed her in order to form a pact with other souls so that they can protect her. Haru too. And the girl from the school pool too.

This manga gives me the chills. I don't think it's a good idea to read it this late in the night but I can't help it!

Mmmh is this going to go a horror route...

Like expected Shizu doesen't suffer from a personality disorder but she is being possessed by multiple ghosts
Tetsu is going to stick with Shizu not because of her but because he wants the $$ to help his mom, wich was his goal from the start anyway.

Okay, I just thought about it again.

So she is a magnet for spirits that, for whatever reason, are still lingering around on the earth.

She said at the school that she made someone cry again and then they showed her parents. It's likely that she was possessed by an malicious spirit and did something bad and in order to protect her from this to happen again her great-grandfather tries to keep her away from bad spirits and does so by letting "good" spirits possess her.

So they suppress her "real" personality most of the time because she is too weak to prevent bad spirits from taking her over. And they hope that she manages to grow stronger eventually by keeping her holed up in that place all the time with her real personality suppressed most of the time. Sounds sad.

And now he will try to erase the feelings he has / had for her. He doesn't even want to be "friends" again. Ouch.

"To protect the one I care about." - I have a feeling that this isn't Shizu, but his mother.

And yeah, after reading this chapter, this definitively should have a "Supernatural" tag.

man no matter how many times I read this I really really love how they don't make tetsu out to be a savior or a saint who would be unaffected by that but rather he responds to it in a very human and normal way and that's why it hurts
