| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- What has always amazed me about "Koori no Mamono no Monogatari" is how I ended up loving it and listing it as one of my always favorite manga (no matter Shounen Ai or not) despite whatever happened during the period. When I first noticed it in a serial magazine, I didn't even care about it due to its immature artwork atm. Several years later when I did some house cleaning and was about to throw away all my old magazines, I found myself never reading this story and felt like to give it a try. 1 or 2 chapters in, I got hooked and finished reading all of its contents in the magazines. (Luckily, I am in the habit of double checking before getting rid of my stuff.) Then I got my hands on the manga books and got to read more. And it took me another several years to actually own the whole series as it was still on-going atm. For me, the series is all about freshness & unique style, from its characters, to the story and the artwork (which was improved a lot later on). That's what really makes it stand out from the other Shounen Ai / BL. On a side note, I also read Silver Diamond created by the same mangaka after finishing reading this one and it became another one of my favorites, lol. It's confirmed to me that Sugiura Shiho sensei is the guarantee of fantastic Shounenai manga. Therefore, it's super sad to see there're no threads on any chapters. So here I am, trying to create the threads for this amazing manga while re-reading the series. Back to the 1st chapter, Ishuca was a curious cutie pie with unusual thoughts and Blood didn’t seem to be that evil as a legendary demon. Quite an unique start and I already liked the 2 MCs & how they communicated with each other, 5/5 for me. The kiss caught me off guard when I first read it, didn’t expect it to happen this early. Loled at their different understanding of “eating” at the end. No worries, Ishuca, just throw yourself on Blood, you have my full support~ |
