the manga was never finished ( i think ) because the mangaka passed away.

The ending of the anime is a concept of what was going to happen at the end of the manga. The manga-ka passed away in an accident, thus the manga was never completed.

Essentially, the anime is the completed manga.

i heard that there was also a drama. do you think i should watch the drama or the anime? since i wont read an unfinished manga

personally, i wouldnt recommend the drama. i hated it, to be honest.
