Differences between the two manga versions?

Im interested in purchasing the complete 8 volume series of Buddha but on Amazon I found two versions of each of the 8 volumes and was confused as to what the differences were between them. As you can see in the pics attached, both sets of volumes come in different color combinations.

Actually I found out the info I was looking for after a bit of research. There's one hardcover edition and two paperback editions. The paperback edition by Vertical does not feature the the three faces of Buddha's transition on the spines while the other two versions do.
