They probably realize its best to treat westerns nicely, and their support is fully capable of speaking English now, used to be Japanese speaking only, where we have no clue what they spoke about. The anime probably also has an effect on it as they can see how westerners view Kancolle with this hopefully, on the second season, they will finally show off US/ German Rus/ UK ships.
