Hitomi addresses Aoi as senpai?

I just realized in episode 5, the heroine calls Aoi her senpai. Does this mean he is in 3rd year (I'm assuming Hitomi is in 2nd year with Kohaku)? Or is she calling him senpai due to them being technically 60 years older than her?

On that note, does anyone know which characters are in 3rd year and which are in 2nd year or 1st year etc?

She called him Aoi-senpai because he is in 3rd year (in Ep.4 his mom asked him about the "future study plans" form 3rd years have to fill in their last high school year so they pick what to do after graduation).

3rd year: Aoi and Shou (they are friends since elementary school), and Kurumi
2nd: Hitomi, Kohaku, Asagi
1s year: Chigusa
