DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn Valhiss was such an ugly ass, but he made great villain but I also liked the sorcerer Mabo ( creepy as shit). As for Amon he sucked big time, if it wasn't Hoe he wouldn't have survived especially against the antagonist. He also left the Lichia behind even though she wanted to come with, jerk didn't even say a word or show affection. I'm also sad about the treasure to be buried like that, if I was there I would've stayed behind to dug it out. it was not bad but would've been better if the protagonist was decent. 5/10. |

| Objectively point by point Amon Saga is mostly fine and nothing more. Story is basic but satisfactory, characters are paper thin though not the worst. The thing is the whole thing even at just over an hour is incredibly boring. Its that mediocre aspect at every level pretty much that makes the whole production incredibly uninteresting and forgettable. This was basically the only thing the Studio ever did (Other than a couple of Hentai after this flopped) and for that I'm not surprised. Not even Anno's character designs could save this OVA from being ugly alot of the time. Also doesn't help that the only transfer out there for this is incredibly poor, colors are murky, detail non existent. It's just a very muddy and ugly presentation. I'm glad I finally watched this, I've had the damn Manga Ent DVD for years and years. But yes this will certainly not live long in the memory. 4/10 from me |

| The story was pretty barebone and the characters nothing to write home about(Gaius surprisingly turned out to be a buddy), but at least it was cohesive and not all over the place. If you venture out to watch old OVA's you're bound to see worse. I like the 80's character designs, the music and there was a battle royale/tournament arc..kinda. I'm disappointmented that there wasn't a lot of gore except for the part where the golden armor ripped off the face of beast. Valhiss also looked gruesome. Almost as terrible as the sounds these wizards were making lmao. Made the final fight laughable. Overall 5/10 |

| The lore although basic was interesting, it seems that there were more to the worldbuilding by the ending but I enjoyed it for what it was. Also bonus points for the creepy sorcerer he was my favorite charater. |

The OVA was ok but I loved the story, Valhiss reminded me of Darkseid with the mask and the glowing eyes, my favorite character is Gaius though, so I'll give it a 7, it's your typical 80s OVA, (Ekuna looks like Vampire Hunter D, I thought he made a cameo LOL) |
