Oh boy, this show even has ogres.

Seems we got an episode of deeper storytelling of the past. They're really checking off the list of fantasy elements in this show heh.

Hmm so Tao and Shane already knew each other back then. The meeting where they established their bond sure was warm. The tale of Momotaro is theme this ep huh. Funny in how the hero's assistants ended up getting more fame than he did though. I guess if you're a hero whose story is tied closely with fighting against a monster type then no matter what anyone says your hatred towards them won't change. Looks like the tale of Momotaro only served to create a never ending cycle of hatred that killed many. The truth to what happened back then with Tao and the last Momotaro sure was sad. I can see why Tao become so determined to protect his friends that he considers his family.
Thats an impressive form that the chaos teller took. An excellent ep that did well in expanding Tao's character by using the classic Momotaro's tale as its canvas.

In the past 2 episodes the crew actually helped change the story in the story zone..yet in this episode they put it right back to the screwed up story of fate it was before they got there...and that screwed up fate had a direct negative effect on two of the crew

And I that when seeing the protagonist of the story I thought that it was a woman and I thought that it would deal with the history of Mulan. I think this is one of the few chapters that I've loved about this series. I was very pleased with the previous Momotaro who made Tao his partner and family (I still have doubts if he was a man, he seemed more like a woman).

One of the few episodes that does this series justice...because of characterization, and nothing more.

Same old boring storyline and action, just made better when the main characters are involved in their own storyline.

Looks like one just can't easily say and do "I'm quit" for series they followed so long.

Decided to check this ep because it's origin place of Tao and Shane, though it still bad at pacing and directing, also crap quality drop, this one they handle it quite in the right direction, though still really far from goodness of its source.

At least they add nostalgic value from the game.

Shane Best Girl. The episode feels rushed and cheap though. It's like they didn't even bother with the fights anymore(i don't mean animation cause it's still brilliant). It's like Transformation = Omae wa mou Shindeiru plus there was no motive for the grandparents to become Chaos Tellers which completely contradicts what we've seen so far.Shane's backstory involves 10 seconds of dialogue wtf. I like that there are massive implications to the story world when Role less people get involved and having two of them in the same story zone definitely changed the very fate of everyone.

Oh. So Tao and Shane are from the Momotaro story. Animation quality seemingly took a bit of a dive.

Reina is such a glutton. Its cute and funny. But I wonder what Story Zone she came form.
