 The official website for Digimon Adventure franchise has announced a new movie for "early spring" of 2020 premiere. The cast members from Digimon Adventure tri. movie series will reprise. | I was hoping the movie could be released within this year (2019) to actually fall in the year of the series 20th anniversary. More so, I wanted it badly to be released on August the 1st! That would have been the perfect date :( |

The only reason why Tri was bad is because of a incompetent writer, I think a "10 years after" can work if it's written by a decent writer. Take something like Dekaranger 10 years after (not an anime, but making a point here) that movie was amazing. I feel that Tri was a drag. None of the characters had any continuing development they were all the same. It went to a point I outright dropped it after the 4th episode. |
