According to Wikipedia, this is the only 1918 film which remains extant but I can't find any trace of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_anime_by_release_date_(pre-1939)

Yep I can confirm this is a lost film. Its been over 3 hours I have been searching this film online and have found nothing. It is insane how far misinformation has spread about the origin of this film.

This version of momotaro is being confused with the 1928 version that has a similar title and made by the same author. My theory is the first film was lost, but many confused it with the second version from 1928. In fact many of the pictures in websites like imdb are displaying shots from the 1928 version (this shot is around 5:30 in the second version btw)

1928 Ver of Momotaro

Its a shame because this film would have been an amazing way to see the improvement of animation over a 10 year period of 1918 and 1928. The 1918 film of the animation is also supposedly the first animation displayed outside of Japan.

@dylelouch They might have it confused with this title: https://myanimelist.net/anime/7485/Urashima_Tarou_supposed_title
Because that one is not listed there.
"He isn't dead, San. He is here with us now, telling us, it's time for both of us to live."

But once you meet them, even if nobody ever knows it, that encounter will change your life for the better."

@Aegidrom No. The reason is, as someone earlier said in this thread, they have confused it with a Momotaro 1928 film (even IMDb).
That 'Urashima Tarou' from 1918 is a lost film as Wikipedia listed there. The entry here in MAL is referring to a 1 minute film that was found and thought to be that one but it's actually another work from an unknown author that has a very similar story, that's why is listed here as 'Urashima Tarou (supposed title)'.

There is no 1918 film extant unless that work which is believed to be around the same date is, in fact, from 1918.

@dylelouch That's confusing as heck. Thanks for posting the truth though.
