It's weirdly ambitious so it's a niche and it's not directed by Yuasa or Shinbou.

It's also by Toei and not Trigger. People don't like Toei here because of One Piece's animation so they avoid their works. If it was made by Trigger, it would also be more popular.

Honestly the direction is really spectacular for a directorial debut, it’s very Gainaxy in spite of having no Gainax influence

I just finished it and honestly really loved it. Not too sure why it's so underrated... maybe it's just not something that many people will be able to easily get into and enjoy

I'm thinking about watching this series and was surprised that Toei was behind it I'm here for Watanabe. The PV looks really interesting!

Agreed. Amazing serie, one of my favourite. It's just not popular because it's kinda hard to recommend I guess.

My guess is that it was just being overshadowed by other, more popular shows such as Log Horizon and Kill la Kill. It also started airing during the conclusion of the first season of AoT.

From the poster, it looks like it's one of those goofy Anime that don't make any kind of sense whatsoever. I don't know though, I wouldn't want to judge a book by it's cover.
