 During the second anniversary event for the Azur Lane mobile game, which is taking place over the weekend, more information was unveiled for its Fall 2019 TV anime adaptation. Additional staff, cast, and theme song performers, along with a promotional video were revealed on Saturday. The anime will begin its broadcast on October 3 on Tokyo MX, followed by Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and AT-X.Staff Chief Animation Director, Character Design: Masayuki Nonaka (Grisaia no Kajitsu) Concept Design: MAGNUM (Grisaia no Meikyuu design assistance) Art Director: Akihito Ougiyama (Puzzle & Dragons Cross) Art Setting: Yoshinori Shiozawa (Rewrite background art) Color Design: Kanako Hayashi (Macross Δ) CG Director: Yoshiaki Higa (Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito CG animation) Director of Photography: Daisuke Chiba (Black Clover photography) Editing: Mutsumi Takemiya (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun) Sound Director: Masaki Tsuchiya (BlazBlue: Alter Memory) Sound Production: DAX Production Music: Yasunori Nishiki (Granblue Fantasy The Animation) Music Producer: Youhei Kisara (Love Live! School Idol Project) Yui Horie, You Taichi, Maria Naganawa, and Nozomi Yamane will reprise their roles as Belfast, Ayanami, Laffey, and Javelin, respectively. The opening song "graphite/diamond" by May'n is previewed in the promotional video below. Kano will perform the ending song "Hikari no Michishirube." PV Azur Lane is a mobile game that was developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi, and was published by bilibili in China in May 2017. Yostar localized the game in Japanese and English in September 2017 and May 20 of this year, respectively. She's not a starter ship in JP and apparently a lot of starter ship fanart leave her out. But that scene was disrespectful. She should not have been replaced by Unicorn. | I love how they did the character designs justice. The fox sisters look so stunning, wow! All the starter destroyers look adorable. The animation is also fluid. I thought this would be a budget adaptation, but looks like I'm wrong. Really hyped for this even though I don't play the game anymore. |
