| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- And with that, duelist kingdom has come to a close. What an amazing arc and wild ride that was. I really liked the last splash page of them flying off in the helicopter, Mai looking badass climbing the rope and of course there's got to be a little comedy of Jonouchi almost falling out. It really brought this arc to a close. But goddamn, seeing that panel of Pegasus dead, slumped back all bloody with his millennium eye missing was unexpected and pretty gruesome. That's bold of the mangaka to finish off such a great character, but he had his arc and lost, so it seems fitting. But damn, makes you kind of want to feel sorry for him in the end. Especially after learning his motivation for trying to take over Kaibacorp and the duel disk technology. He's done some evil stuff to get where he was, but in the end, he was just a romantic dude wishing to be with his lost love. Well, hopefully now, he will be. Dark Bakura tho! He really is back in full force and Bakura has let him consume him. He's playing Yugi and the gang for fools, using them to get closer to the other millennium items and eventually he'll try to take Yugi's millennium puzzle. From here on out, I don't know how the story goes, since I only knew some stuff of duelist kingdom from the anime. So, the next arcs will be entirely new to me and that's got me very excited. I can't wait to see what else Takahashi has in store for Yugi and us readers. I'm glad I still have 210 chapters left to read. Yu-Gi-Oh is definitely crawling its way up to be one of my all time favorites. Now to begin the next arc! |
