This really needs a remake.

The anime itself barely translates the content the manga has and even makes up alot of anime original scenes. It was also made at the time when there was only the original Himegoto manga, so it didn't even have enough content for a full-time anime. I think if it was remade today, it could be a pretty solid anime. Plus, they could even animate Himegoto+ as specials, so they could even milk it more.

Really now, if you look at the manga's length and content, you could pretty much do atleast 2 seasons with full length episodes. Just having specials and OVAs would be dissatisfying in the state it also is currently (again, the anime differs alot, even if not much compared to the first volume, it differs completely from the next volumes).
