How to tell that Kondou loves Akira?

I dont think he does, and its clear Akira is suffering from some infatuation as a result of not having a parental male figure. In other words, she is suffering from daddy issues and unfufill track dreams that she found comfort in Mr Kondou

Kondou fell for Akira in the manga. and it was hard for him to let her go Though not stated in the Anime, I believe he did fall in love with Akira.
