Would it be appropriate if I same-sex ship in this anime? This anime is funded by controversial MiSK foundation to promote Saudi Arabia culture, and from my knowledge, I'd received a severe punishment if I BL ship this anime.

Almost all main male characters in this anime are children. If you're going to receive a punishment for something, it will be for sexualizing children.

That futurama family is the main character? I thought it's just an introduce to each weekly story. And the first story doesn't feature any boy.

Mmh... it was decent for what it is. The characters look was a nice change although the series sure doesn't look really well produced.

3/5 I'm pretty sure I have seen/read a similar story somewhere.

Interesting to have a western man for co-charadesigner and arabic peoples for the concept director, architecture manager, and "arabian art" (whatever that means... anyone knows?) positions. Is it a co-production like Japan and European countries were used to make in the 80s?

@Afarran I guess you would consider the "Bible Fox" (no idea what the real name was) that was broadcasted in Italia, and some middle-east countries as cartoon too. ^^

Idk which anime are you talking about when you said bible fox but i am from a middle eastern country so maybe i will know it if you tell me the name🤔

Can you be more polite bro, most of anime fans say that anime is not cartoon, i also think that, very different art style which is a lot more complicated, so you can name it japanese animation

@Afarran I understood well that you were not saying it's bad. ^^
As for "arabic/arabian art", I only read what was written in the credit and was wondering what kind of job it was, sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for the broadcast information. It must mean that it was indeed a coproduction work or an order from the country.

About the series where a "baby" fox revisits the Bible, I can't give you a name you might know: I forgot the french name, the italian/Vatican version was titled something like "The Little Fox and the Bible" and the japanese version is called "Tezuka Osamu's Old Testament" I think. So, every country has its own name. ^^" (since it's initially a work ordered by the Vatican, I'm not even sure if it's listed on MAL)

the art style between anime and cartoon is different because the different manufacturing countries, if you just stick to the art style, it can't be a differentiate between anime and cartoon, because different countries is different names, in America they are called cartoon, in Japan they are called anime , in China they are called Donghua, and in South Korea they are called Aeni. So if you still differentiate between anime and cartoons only from the art style, you are wrong

I checked this one, i've heard of it but never seen it on tv, but as i read it shows the prophets, it's more religious, asatir talks about legends that were transfered from generation to other and have a proverb at the end.
The story and plot are interesting to transfer some proverbs to others but not an anime idea.
Thats what i mean

Same thing for anime, anime are not cartoons, they are japanese animation to be exact.

You just watch that anime but you talk too much. Also you can't necessarily make anime like that, right? so don't talk too much, you're just an audience not an anime maker.

I understand bro, you always respond without logic
Of course i am not an anime maker, so i can't give my opinion about it?
I just said that personnaly i can't consider it as an anime, i have my own opinion right? Then you entered and started attacking.
You want something?
I don't have time for people who thinks they know everything, i just used your logic when you used that the names are different.
Thats why.

i liked the ep, but wished if the story was more to what i remember but its a kids show so i get why they made it like this.

if anyone is interested about the story i remember, it went like this.
the bandits would move each day with fake trees while they hid behind it. and for each day zarqa reported that the trees are moving and they are coming closer.

am not sure about the ending but i think she died or something

Not sure I like this since Zarqa's story has a happy ending. In reality (more like mythology) the bad guys win and her eyes were gouged out.

You know the actual story is different And more interesting but sure they changed it to suit children
enemies knew about Zarqa', so they made a plan
They cut trea branches to hide behind it
Zarqa saw them and told her people " i see trees walking toward the city"
they mocked her and said that she went crazy
It was too late for her when she saw the men behind the trees
They conquered the city
Then captured her and gougined her eyes then she died after three days

And some stories they hanged her on the gate of the city
Some people believe that she is a real person who had superpower vision

Great episode, i don't really care that much about our protagonists, i only care about the story that grandma is telling. Which is a pretty good concept, since her grandkids are so zoomer that they most definitely don't know what it was like back in the past, leading her to always mention. "Long long time ago"
It's even true in our world, listening to folktales and fairy tail stories in our childhood that were all about the past, past that we've never seen or knew what it was like back then.

Btw not sure i agree with the moral of the story that kids concluded. What do they mean by "you have to trust those who are close to you more, i trust you, do you trust me?" His advisor was also close to him, even more than Zarqa probably? since he never liked Zarqa, in his mind, she had more incentive to take him down, it's kinda subconscious where you are led to believe that if you don't like someone, he probably doesn't like you as well. And he definitely didn't like her. Meanwhile his advisor was always helping him and share his interest, prospering their territory? like who would actually believe that he would betray you? You can say, that you should be more wary of people and not trust anyone, but then who do you trust? then you'll be the type of leader who is being advised to do something, and then he does the opposite, even if it's a good advice that leads to his land's prosperity, paranoid leader...
I feel like what it showed more than anything, that trusting someone is all about luck, you can put trust in Zarqa and then be rewarded by being lucky that your trust was justified, or like in Musab's case trust in the wrong person and get destroyed...

Thanks for sharing the actual story, was wondering it actually existed or it's all made up by grandma...

Haven't seen an anime taking place in Saudi Arabia before, animation isn't the best but the folk tales are pretty interesting to see even if they aren't really accurate to the actual story.

It seems people here just hate the arabian culture for most, or atleast a Middle East one on every aspects.

For me, this is just an okay show, with interesting story telling, a nice character, a pretty good plot with so much deep moral lesson for your miserable life, and a nice musical background that suited well with the middle east theme.

The art and animations style were not the best i've ever seen. But, its quite far away from the bad level, even i must say its fine. The storyline level was also quite good. Your typical folkstale for the kids that somehow in these day, not much type of this show happened lately. Especially with the full length duration of TV series like these. For me, this is just above my average standard. Lets see next for holding up my initial judgement view here. Thats it for now
